Jaque proyecta la relación de dos jóvenes, Christian y Juan Fernando, quienes a pesar de su diferencias ideológicas, sociales, y económicas mantienen una amistad que los une desde la infancia. Christian es un ecologista extemista dispuesto a hacer cualquier nota por sus ideales. Juan Fernando no tiene ideales, solo intenta divertirse para olividar sus días de reclusión en un centro de desintoxicación. Jaque depicts the relationship between two young men, Christian and Juan Fernando, who have maintained a friendship since childhood in spite of their ideological, social, and economic differences. Christian is an extreme ecologist who is willing to do anything for his ideals. Juan Fernando has no principles, and his only goal is to have fun to forget his days of reclusion in a detoxification center. The normality and monotony of these boys' lives takes a turn during the Fiestas de Quito celebrations, when one of them decides to put their friendship on the line. (Translated by Andrew Magel)
