Bia (played by the rapper Clara Lima) is confronted with a question in school: what do you want to do after you finish high school? Her answer is strong enough to lend the film its title: nothing. The young rapper, therefore, more than fits David Bordwell’s description of the protagonist of the art film as a drifting character who lacks a clear goal; in fact, she enacts it: she desires nothing but the open-ended journey, the suspenseful ambiguity of the art film, the journey that is more important than its destination.
