Durante una feria, la joven Lupe es cortejada por tres hombres a la vez. Uno de ellos, el maduro terrateniente don Atanasio, despojará al padre de Lupe por no ofrecerle la mano de su hija. A partir de ese momento, Lupe decidirá a quien corresponderle según sus necesidades y las de su padre. Situada en el Istmo de Tehuantepec, esta pintoresca cinta contó con la colaboración de Salvador Novo en la supervisión de diálogos, cuyos matices se equiparan con la visión vanguardista de la poesía de los Contemporáneos. While attending a fair, the young Lupe is courted by three men at the same time. One of them, an older landowner named Don Atanasio, threatens to evict Lupe's father for not offering him his daughter's hand. At this moment, Lupe must make a decision based on her own needs and those of his father. Filmed on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, this picturesque film was made in collaboration with Salvador Novo who supervised the dialogue and was influenced by the avant-garde poetic vision of "Los Contemporáneos."
