El trabajo intenta trazar una historia de la mujer mexicana, desde la época precolombina hasta el presente, tanto en México como en Estados Unidos. Reuniendo testimonios, remitiéndose a la plástica de ambos países y recopilando imágenes de archivo, la cineasta consigue una emotiva reflexión sobre el papel de estas mujeres en los movimientos sociales que cambiaron la historia de ambos países. This film attempts to trace the history of Mexican women, from the pre-Colombian era to the present, both in Mexico and the United States. By collecting testimonies, referring to the artistic traditions of both countries, and gathering archival images, the filmmaker is able to make an emotional reflection about the role of these women in social movements that changed the history of both countries.
